Let the Remodeling Begin

This morning marks my seventh practice at the shala, and today I started to feel some aches and pains. I am scheduling a Thai massage today. It was so hot yesterday that I had to go and buy some new clothes, and was directed to a store in Lakshmipuram called FabIndia. Since Mike was in Bangalore I took my first rickshaw ride alone. That was fun negotiating the price all by girly self. I took some pictures along the way. I stopped by a vegetable market where the vendors wanted to make sure I took a picture of their hanging alter. When I asked who that was in the picture, they without hesitation told me God, God in the form of Kali Ma.

Hey Jill, you are a brave girl going it alone for the day. Although it seems that the people in India are very friendly and helpful. I'm a little jealous that it is hot when we are preparing for the cold. However, it is a little unseasonably warm here in Bucks County. The pictures are so much fun to see. It sure sounds like a fun trip. Can't wait to see you in person though.

Love,

Aunt MJ
